Applications for 2013/14 Chevening Scholarships are now open

Chevening Scholarships are the UK government’s global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations.

Who should apply

Chevening Scholarships are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential.

Awards are typically for one-year Master’s degree, in any subject and at any UK’s leading universities.

There are over 41, 000 Chevening alumni around the world who together comprise an influential and highly regarded global network.

How to apply

·         Detailed information about recruitment criteria, application details and deadlines

·         Priority subject areas in your country

·         Information on arranging an English language test

·         Information on choosing a course/university in the UK

Deadline for application is 14 December 2012

The British High Commission currently sends two Gambian students to the UK every year for a fully funded one year master’s degree programme, says James Philips, Vice Consul British High Commission.
